OPERATIONS
Normal Condition
In normal operation, the green LED will flash once every 50 seconds to indicate the alarm is
active.
Alarm Condition
If a dangerous level of carbon monoxide is detected, the alarm will sound and the red alarm LED
will flash continuously. This will continue until the carbon monoxide is eliminated.
If your alarm sounds you must shut down your gas supply and appliances and immediately move
to an outside area with fresh air. Ensure all members of the household have made it out of the
property and contact emergency services. Do not enter the property until it has been deemed
safe.
If the alarm is triggered again after this point, follow the previous steps. Once the property has
been deemed safe, contact a qualified appliance technician to investigate the cause of the CO,
including any combustion equipment.
Low Battery Condition
The battery in this fitting should last approximately 7 years. When a battery
failure or low battery is detected, the battery symbol will show on the LCD
screen. The yellow fault LED and the alarm will chirp every 50 seconds.
This can be muted for 12 hours by pressing the Test button.
Fault Indication Condition
If a fault is detected, the LCD screen will display ‘Err’. The yellow fault
indicator LED will twice every 50 seconds and the alarm will chirp in time.
This can be muted for 12 hours by pressing the Test button.
End of Life Condition
At the end of the fitting’s life, the device will let you know by showing ‘End’
on the LCD screen. The yellow indicator will flash 3 times every 50 seconds
in time with 3 chirps of the alarm. At this point the CO alarm should be
replaced.This can be muted for 12 hours by pressing the Test button.
TESTING
The fitting must be tested every month by pressing the Test button on the front. If the fitting is
working correctly the alarm will sound and the red alarm LED will flash.
