INTERCONNECTING SUBRACK MONITORING
If more than one GSOC26 is used it is possible to interlock the monitoring facilities. This is
achieved by connecting a 9 way D lead between the subracks. Conn 6 on one subrack must be
connected to conn 7 on the other.
If this lead is fitted it is possible for the technician to use a single pair of headphones to monitor
all the GSOC26 units. The headphone socket of the last GSOC26 in the line will contain audio
monitoring from all of the GSOC26s. The monitor select buttons will interlock between the
subracks and the flashing LEDs will be synchronised.
The lead required has a plug on one end and a socket on the other. All 9 pins are wired in a 1 to 1
configuration. i.e. pin 1 is connected to pin 1, pin 2 to pin 2 etc. Any number of these leads may
be used to interconnect any number of subracks.
The function on each pin is as follows:-
