The glo™ Hyper+ is a tobacco heating device manufactured by Nicoventures Trading Ltd., a subsidiary of British American Tobacco. It is designed to inductively heat rather than burn a consumable rod of tobacco, offering an alternative to traditional smoking. The device is compatible with Demi-Slim size Neo™ consumables. As an upgrade from the original glo™ Hyper, the Hyper+ features an updated industrial design with a factory-customizable side panel. It uses single-use, disposable, demi-slim size Neo™ consumables.

Function Description:

The glo™ Hyper+ operates by heating tobacco consumables to produce an aerosol, rather than burning them to create smoke. This process is designed to prevent combustion, as the tobacco is not heated above 270 °C. The Neo™ consumables contain water and glycerol, which facilitate low-temperature heating and result in the emission of an aerosol fundamentally different from the smoke of cigars or cigarettes.

To use the device, a consumable is inserted into the top via a hole, with the tobacco end entering first. The user initiates inductive heating by pressing and holding a single button on the front. An initial pre-heating phase is indicated by LED lighting and haptic vibration. Once pre-heating is complete, the LEDs are fully lit, and a second vibration occurs. The device comes pre-loaded with two heating profiles: standard and boost. The standard profile is initiated by holding the button for 3 seconds, while the boost profile requires holding it for 5 seconds. The heater generates an aerosol composed mainly of water, glycerine, nicotine, and flavor, designed to provide a consistent sensory experience. The top end of the consumable protrudes 22mm from the device, allowing the user to inhale the aerosol. Each heating cycle, or "session," delivers aerosol over approximately 4 minutes. After each session, the LEDs turn off, and the consumable must be removed and disposed of responsibly. A new consumable is required for each subsequent session. A single charge provides up to 20 sessions based on back-to-back usage.

Important Technical Specifications:

The glo™ Hyper+ device measures approximately 83x46x22mm (HxWxD) and weighs around 114g. Internal components include:

Lithium-ion rechargeable cell: Provides electrical power to the heater.
- G403, G403a, and G403i models: N18650CP model cell from BAK, rated at 3.6V, 3350mAh, 12.06Wh.
- G404 and G404a models: INR18650 33V model cell from EVE, rated at 3.6V, 3200mAh, 11.5Wh.
- The battery is designed to last at least 12 months with regular use and maintenance.
Printed circuit board assembly (PCBA): Controls the cell and heater.
Chassis: Mounts the heater, PCBs, and battery.
Induction coils: A set of induction coils with a mild steel susceptor sealed into a tube.
- Note: Model G403a only has one coil, indicating a single heated zone.

Materials: For model G403i (used in Indonesia only), ABS plastics and silicone seals are changed to PEEK to improve durability with consumables containing cloves (eugenol).

Consumable Design:

The Neo™ consumables are demi-slim sized, with a circumference of 21.1mm and a length of 75mm. They consist of:

Filter section: Provides aerosol filtration and cooling, with a capsule option on some products for extra flavor. The mouthend filter is a CA tube.
Reconstituted tobacco section: Contains glycerol and flavor additives to generate aerosol at lower temperatures. The tobacco rod is 34mm in length and weighs 340mg.
Ventilation: 70-75%.

Usage Features:

User-customizable panels (Hyper+ UNIQ): The glo™ Hyper+ UNIQ (Bespoke) device allows users to customize the heater panel, with 4 device colors and 19 panels offered, and more planned as limited editions. These panels can be purchased as accessories in various colors and surface textures.
Model variations:
- G403: Two-zone heating system.
- G403a: Single-zone heating system with one induction coil and depopulated electrical components associated with a second zone. It can have either a fixed or removable heater panel.
- G403i: Functionally identical to G403 but uses PEEK plastics and silicone seals for enhanced durability with clove-containing consumables.
