5. Reassembly of portal drive
Mount longitudinal control arm bracket according to the
description:
1. Position bracket on the housing. Turn in cylindrical screws
with washers (arrow 1) and hand-tighten them (MA = 3 – 5
Nm).
2. Turn in cylindrical screws with washers (arrow 2) and finally
tighten them (tightening torque M18x1.5/10.9 M

=
440 Nm).
3. Finally tighten cylindrical screws (arrow 1) (tightening torque
M18x1.5/10.9 M
A
= 440 Nm).
All cylindrical screws are secured with Loctite type No. 243.
This operation is not required for version with cast-on
longitudinal control arm bracket.

If disassembled, fit stud bolts.
Tightening torque M
A
= 33 Nm
The stud bolts are secured with Loctite type No. 243.
Observe installation position. Longer thread protrudes.
