How to fix a Goldstar DH305Y7 that does not start?

If your Goldstar Dehumidifier isn't starting, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the unit is receiving power by checking the outlet. If there's no power, correct the issue. Also, check the plug contact at the outlet; if it's poor, install the plug properly or replace it. If the bucket is full and the Auto Shut Off light is on, empty the bucket and replace it correctly. Make sure the humidity control isn't set to the Off position; turn it towards Max. Inspect the wiring for disconnections or looseness, and connect or repair as needed, referring to the wiring diagram. Finally, test the capacitor (after discharging it) and replace it if it's not within ±10% of the manufacturer's rating or if it's shorted, open, or damaged.
