Cleaning and Care
This chapter provides you with
important information on clean-
ing and caring for the unit.
Safety instructions
CAUTION
Follow the safety instructions
below before you start cleaning
the unit:
► Switch the unit off before
cleaning and pull the power
cord from the electric socket.
► Let the unit cool off before
cleaning.
► Do not use any aggressive or
abrasive cleaning agents and
do not use any solvents.
► Do not scratch off stubborn
soiling with hard objects.
► Do not put the unit in the
dishwasher and do not hold
it under owing water.
Cleaning
■ Clean the exterior of the unit
with a soft, moist cloth. If heav-
ily soiled, a mild detergent can
be used.
■ Pull out the drip dish.
■ Remove the drip grate.
■ Empty the drip dish.
■ Clean the drip tray and the
grate and the group handle un-
der running water.
■ Then replace the drip dish to-
gether with the grate.
■ Clean the nozzles with the
cleaning pin.
Cleaning cycle with
cleaning disc
■ Remove the water tank and dis-
pose of the old water.
■ Fill with fresh, cold water.
■ Take out the cleaning set.
■ It is located in the inside of the
rear door.
■ Put the lter insert for 2 cups
into the group handle.
■ Place the cleaning disk (with
the smooth side facing down)
into the lter insert.
■ Possibly also put a cleaning tab
into the lter insert.
■ Now insert the group handle.
■ Put a large container under-
neath the group handle.
■ Plug the plug into the electric
socket.
■ Make sure the unit is switched
off.
■ Simultaneously press the " "
button and the
"
" button.
■ While keeping both these but-
tons pressed, press the "POW-
ER" button.
■ When the button lights start
ashing from left to right, let
go of the "
" " " buttons.
