The fuselage should be set up on the undercarriage before the engine is installed, as
shown in the pictures. Fix the petrol engine to the firewall using the socket-head cap
screws and aluminium spacer pillars provided.
Install the throttle servo in the servo plate as shown in the photo. Fit a swivel pushrod
connector in the servo output arm (lever length approx. 13 mm), checking that the
connector rotates smoothly, without lost motion.
Fix the throttle servo in the servo plate using the retaining screws supplied with the
servo. Connect the Z-bend of the throttle pushrod to the carburettor throttle arm. Set
the carburettor to ‘half-open’ and the servo to centre, then clamp the pushrod in the
swivel connector by tightening the grubscrew.
The ignition unit should be mounted on the firewall just behind the silencer.
Before the cowl can be installed the appropriate clearance openings must be cut and
filed to shape for the silencer, cylinder head, etc.
