What to do if my Gree ForestAir 13-04588 Air Conditioner doesn't operate?
    • S
      Sandra SmithJul 31, 2025
If your Gree Air Conditioner doesn't operate or only runs in fan mode, first ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the wall outlet. Then, check if the main power supply is on. In case of a power failure, wait for the power to restore and then wait 3 minutes before restarting the unit. Finally, for some models, check if the timer is on and adjust the time settings accordingly.

Why is my Gree Air Conditioner not cooling efficiently?

      Angela HebertAug 8, 2025
If your Gree Air Conditioner's cooling is not efficient, start by clearing any obstructions from the air inlets and outlets, such as curtains or blinds. Ensure the exhaust control is set to CLOSED (on some models). Remove any heat sources from the room. Clean the air filters and adjust the set temperature. Increase the fan speed or change the unit mode, and verify the unit's capacity using the room cooling chart. If the unit is freezing up, set the fan speed to highest and the temperature to coolest and wait for the frost to melt.

If your Gree Air Conditioner starts and stops frequently, or frequently blows fuses or trips the circuit breaker, ensure the outdoor temperature is within the unit's working range (above 18oC or 65oF). Check that the power source voltage is properly rated according to the unit's rating plate and adjust if necessary. Also, ensure that the unit is not connected to an extension cord and that no other appliance is plugged into the same circuit. For dirty or obstructed internal evaporator and outside condenser coils, call SUNRISE TRADEX Customer Service.

      Christie CollinsAug 25, 2025
If water drips from your Gree Air Conditioner into the house, it may not be correctly installed or properly leveled. The unit should slope slightly downward to the outside (half a bubble on the level). Reposition or shim the unit if necessary.
