This document is the Owner's Manual for a Gree Floor Ceiling Type Fan Coil Unit, providing original instructions for both commercial and household air conditioners.
Function Description
The device is a comfort air conditioning unit designed to provide cooling and heating. It operates by circulating water through a heat exchanger, and a fan then blows air over the heat exchanger to condition the room. It supports both ceiling and floor type installations. The unit is intended for use by expert or trained users in shops, light industry, farms, or by lay persons for commercial or household use.
Important Technical Specifications
The manual lists several models, categorized by their "WM-D" (presumably Wall Mount - Ducted) and "ZD-K" (presumably Zone Ducted - Kit) designations, with corresponding dimensions.
- Operation Pressure: No more than 1.6MPa.
- Cooling Water Temperature: Must be lower than 5°C to prevent condensation.
- Heating Water Temperature: Not more than 70°C (normally 60°C) to prevent corrosion of the copper tube.
- Ambient Temperature Range:
- Cooling: 16-40°C
- Heating: 10-35°C
- Relative Humidity: Equal to or less than 95%.
- Power Cable: A 3*0.75mm² power cable is recommended, with specifications for conduit-guarded multi-wire copper cable (YJV XLPE insulated power cable) used at 40°C and resistible to 90°C (GB/T 16895.15).
- Drain Pipe: Diameter should be equal to or greater than the connecting pipe (Vinyl tube: pipe size: 20 mm; outer dimension: 26 mm). It should be short and incline downwards at a gradient of at least 1/100 to prevent air pockets.
- Motorized Valve: G3/4 threaded, with a recommended torque moment of 90 N.m during installation.
- Air Temperature Difference (Inlet to Outlet): For performance evaluation, the difference between in-air and out-air temperature should not be less than 8°C.

Usage Features
- Installation Location: Requires a place where cool air can be distributed, condensation water is easily drained, the unit's weight can be handled, easy access for maintenance is available, and easy connection with the chilling water pipe is possible. It should be at least 1m away from other electric appliances, avoid heat sources, high humidity, or inflammable gas. Adequate space for ventilation is required (minimum 150cm above, 60cm to the sides, 100cm to the front, and 30cm to the rear). The installed height should be 2.3m or more from the floor.
- Energy Saving Tips:
- Set the expected temperature at a moderate level.
- Adjust louvers and flaps for optimal air distribution.
- Close windows and doors during operation.
- Cover windows with blinds or curtains to prevent heat from sunlight during cooling.
- Open windows for ventilation occasionally if ventilation is ineffective, closing them timely to save energy.
- Safety Precautions:
- Turn off the unit and main power supply if electric shock occurs or if not used for a long period.
- Check electrical system (voltage and frequency) and use proper power supply with specified capacity fuses. Do not use wire pieces instead of fuses.
- Do not insert objects into air inlet or outlet while running, especially when children are around.
- Do not place obstacles around indoor and outdoor units.
- Never expose infants, aged persons, or patients directly to the airflow.
- Do not locate heaters or other heat sources close to the unit to prevent plastic deformation.
- The motorized valve's electric wiring should follow Fig.10. It is prohibited to bind the water valve wire directly with the copper tube or wrap the whole valve with sponge, as this can cause short circuits, electric leakage, or affect heat diffusion. The valve core should be placed in the proper position with the leading wire pointing at the unit.
- Auto-restart function: The unit can remember the running model before a power interruption.
- Test Operation (Wireless Remote Controller):
- Ensure installation is complete and wiring is correct.
- Clear all impurities from the unit.
- Switch on power, press "ON/OFF" on the remote to start test mode.
- Press "TURBO" button at least 3 times within 5 seconds to enter test mode.
- Use the controller to select COOL, HEAT, FAN, DRY modes to check normal operation.
- Exit test mode by pressing "ON/OFF" or automatically after 5 minutes.
Maintenance Features
- Filter Cleaning: Only professional personnel should clean or replace the filter. Power must be cut off and the fan motor stopped before cleaning. Remove the air filter, clean it with a vacuum cleaner or wash with soap water if very dirty, and ensure it is completely dry before reinstallation.
- Unit Cleaning: Clean the air conditioner and remote control with a dry cloth or vacuum cleaner. If a damp cloth is used, remove moisture afterward.
- Air Filter Cleaning Frequency: Clean the air filter every week for higher efficiency.
