Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Do tough stains have to be pretreated?
We recommend that you continue to treat stains in the same manner as you did before.
However, for normally soiled laundry, using pureWash will allow you to use less detergent or no
detergent at all.
2. Does pureWash work with all types of water?
pureWash will work with all typical household water qualities, but the better the quality of the
water the better results you will have. If you have hard water, we recommend a water softener
and the removal of chlorine will improve the unit’s performance.
3. Is a pre-lter required?
pureWash does not require a pre-lter, though we do recommend the use of one in all
applications. If your water does have high iron content we suggest the use of a pre-lter
specically designed to remove iron.
4. What types of washing machines can work with pureWash?
pureWash can be used with almost any residential washing machine. ere are however two
separate models of the pureWash. Standard pureWash is designed for standard-eciency top-
load washers that have no restriction in their cold water intake. Eciency pureWash is designed
for front-load washing machines or those that have a restriction in their cold water intake.
Eciency models can be used with standard top-loading washers, however, the restricted
water ow requires more time to ll the basin and, in some cases, may result in an unwanted
bleaching eect to dyed fabrics.
5. Will pureWash work with Commercial Washing Machines?
pureWash is designed and recommended for residential use only, not for commercial or
industrial applications.
6. Is pureWash only for use with washing machines?
pureWash was designed to treat laundry water specically. ere are other appropriate
applications such as cleaning oors or bathing pets but the water from the pureWash is not
intended for drinking or ingesting.
7. What parts will need to be replaced on the pureWash?
pureWash is designed to provide many years of maintenance free service and has no consumable
parts that will need replacing. If, after some time, you notice a decline in the eectiveness of
pureWash, please contact your distributor for service. Any pre-lters that might be used in
conjunction with your pureWash will need to be replaced according to the time/use schedule
their manufacturer recommends.
