      If grass is wrapping around the shaft housing and string head of your GreenWorks Tools Trimmer, it's likely because you're cutting tall grass at ground level. To prevent this, cut tall grass from the top down.

      If the string won't advance on your GreenWorks Tools Trimmer when using the auto-feed head, several factors could be at play. The string might be welded to itself, in which case you should lubricate it with silicone spray. Alternatively, there might not be enough string on the spool, so install more string. If the string is worn too short, pull it while pressing the line release button. Finally, the string could be tangled on the spool; remove it and rewind it.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY PACK

Place battery pack in trimmer, align ribs with grooves, ensure latch snaps securely.

REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK

Release trigger, press battery latch button, and remove battery pack.

SHAFT ASSEMBLY

Insert lower shaft into shaft coupler on upper shaft and tighten clockwise securely.

STARTING AND STOPPING THE TRIMMER

Grip handles, depress lock-out trigger, squeeze speed trigger to start; release to stop.

OPERATING THE TRIMMER

CUTTING TIPS

Tilt trimmer towards cut, move left-to-right, use line tip, avoid fences/walls/trees.

ADVANCING CUTTING LINE

Use auto-feed: release/press trigger. Line extends ~0.635cm per cycle.

MANUAL CUTTING LINE ADVANCEMENT

Remove battery, push head button while pulling line.

ADJUSTABLE CUTTING DIAMETER

Rotate plant protector. Adjust cutting diameter slide on grass deflector to 25cm or 30cm.

LINE CUT-OFF BLADE FUNCTION

Line is trimmed by blade on grass deflector for optimal performance.
