Turning of eggs
There are trays situated in every incubator to hold the eggs. The ground of these trays
is made of covered punch metal. The eggs have to be laid on the rollers so that the
pointed sides are opposite the blunt sides; this prevents a rolling away of the eggs into
one direction. Always fill the trays from the middle to the outside to support the air cir-
culation.
The eggs should lie on the trays horizontally during incubating. It does not matter though
if the eggs are half diagonal- if done so the capacity is higher. Depending on the egg,
from the 1st to the 3rd breeding day, they can be turned. In manual machines the turn-
ing is done by pushing the egg tray to the back of the incubator, then pulling to the front.
Motor revers
To turn the eggs press the button “Automatic turning”. Then adjust the given turnings
at the automatic turning timer. The arrow marks the beginning of the switching on, this
means whenever a pressed tab is seen on the arrow, the control light is on and the
turning has started. The automatic turning timer has 96 tabs all of which correspond to
approx. 15 minutes running time. The turning is done slowly to prevent vibrations which
can damage eggs. If you put in small eggs press one tab so the eggs are not turned
too far. For large eggs press two tabs. The automatic turning pulls and pushes the trays
reciprocally to the left and to the right.
The timer can only be adjusted to the real time by turning it right. Three or four days
before hatching the eggs must not be turned anymore. The timer is inserted propor-
tional to the motor. We recommend to put the trays at the left or right wall before the
turning, otherwise the frame is pushed from middle to middle.
Cool down timer
This time switch clock enables you to set the cooling times for your special breeding
programme. Each tab corresponds to 15 minutes. At about 18 °C the temperature falls
down to 10 °C within an hour (4 tabs). The pressed tabs set the cooling phase.
Light switch
The light switch works the light for the breeding room of the incubator. Please use the
light only for a short time and switch it off again when you leave the incubator.
Putting in the eggs
If the incubator has been working without faults during a 2-3 days testing period, you
can start to put in the eggs. Once the eggs are inside the incubator the temperature will
