    • M

Why is white dust forming on my furniture from Guardian Humidifier?
    • T
      terrybrittanyAug 19, 2025
Hard water may deposit dust on nearby furniture. If this becomes a nuisance, use distilled water. Also, dust in the air settles because of the added humidity in the room.

What to do if my Guardian H1610 Humidifier blows air but no vapor?
    • M
      Michele MahoneyAug 22, 2025
If your humidifier is blowing air but not producing vapor, there might be excessive water in the tank; remove some water. Ensure the desired humidity is higher than the current temperature by increasing the humidity setting. The tank may have detergent residue or oil; wash out the tank. A dirty ultrasonic disk can also cause this issue, so clean it. If you use hard water, try replacing it with softer water.

Why is water accumulating around my Guardian H1610 Humidifier?
    • K
      kristinarhodesAug 26, 2025
Water accumulation around the unit can occur due to saturation of humidity; try lowering the mist control setting. If the unit isn't level, unplug it and place it on a level surface. Make sure to point the spray away from objects. Also, consider raising the unit on a water-resistant level surface 2-3 feet off the floor.

Why is the humidity level low with my Guardian H1610 Humidifier?
    • J
      jameswuAug 29, 2025
A low humidity level can be caused by a dirty ultrasonic disk; clean the disk. If the water in the unit is too cold, replace it with cool, but not cold water.

Why is my Guardian H1610 making so much noise?
    • L

An increased noise level indicates that the unit must be placed on a flat, level, hard surface, and not on a soft or absorbent surface.

Why is my Guardian Humidifier not producing warm humidity?
    • K
      Kevin HardingSep 7, 2025
It may take 10-15 minutes before warm humidity is created. Test by either feeling the base of the unit, which should be warm to the touch, or by allowing the unit to run for approximately 30 minutes on warm setting in a closed 200 sq. foot room or smaller.

Why is water dripping when refilling my Guardian Humidifier?
    • A
      amymurilloSep 12, 2025
Water may drip when refilling if water remains on the bottom of the tank. Wipe the tank or tilt it to drain before transporting.
