2.03 Safety functions
Important.
Only use the emergency stop and emergency lowering functions in emergen-
cies. Should it be necessary to apply the emergency / safety functions, the
supplier must be contacted prior to using the hoist again.
Description of the emergency stop function
If during operation the DH 1000 should not react on the functions of the hand
control, the lifting/lowering can be interrupted by pressing the red button mar-
ked “STOP”.
As long as the emergency stop is activated, DH 1000 does not function.
DH 1000 is not ready for operation again, until the red button has been turned
back into its initial position.
Description of the emergency lowering function
If DH 1000 fails to operate by the hand control, the emergency lowering unit
is activated to lower the user safely.
The emergency lowering unit is activated by a constant pressure on the
switch marked
When the emergency stop or emergency unit have been activated the defect
has to be repaired before DH 1000 is ready for operation again.
Description of the safety strap function
The lifting stops automatically, when not performed vertically, when the lifting
strap is twisted, or in case of overloading.
2.04 Recharging / connecting the hoist
When the green lamp on the top plate of DH 1000 starts flashing, the hoist
must be recharged as soon as possible.
DH1000 is battery operated. On fully charged batteries DH 1000 can perform
up to 25 lifts.
2.05 Connection of Charger
For recharging the batteries connect the charger to the socket.
Move DH 1000 to the charger and lower it for instance to the floor/table/bed.
Connect DH 1000 and the charger via the charger plug marked 24V on the
top plate of DH 1000.
The light on the charger will switch on, when the recharging takes place.
The recharging automatically stops when the batteries have been fully
recharged.
Maximum recharging time: 6 hours – typically less.
Recharge DH 1000 at regular intervals, for instance overnight, to ensure a
long lifespan of the batteries.
