Firmware Update
Firmware updates are performed with a PC using the USB interface.
To perform an update, a DFU driver (device firmware upgrade)
must first be installed on your PC. This will allow the firmware to
be burned to the DMM rom with the DMM Firmware Upgrade
software.
The DFU driver allows the DFU software to
communicate with the DMM over the USB
interface.
The DFU driver and DFU software supports
Windows XP/ Vista/ 7 32 bit or 64 bit and
Windows 8 32 bit.
1. Connect the USB cable from the PC to the rear
panel USB device port.
2. Put the DMM into boot mode:
Press the MENU key.
Go to FW on level 1.
Go to UPDATE on level 2.
Select YES and press Enter. You will be
prompted to enter a password.
Enter 1234567 as the password and press Enter.
The DMM will now display boot mode.
