What to do if heat or cool is inoperative on HAI RC-2000 Thermostat?
    • J
      Joseph RichardsonAug 2, 2025
If your HAI Thermostat's heat or cool function is inoperative, verify there isn't a break in the W or Y wire. Ensure the minimum off time has passed. Check the system options for correct settings. If the arrow is blinking, wait until the startup delay expires. Ensure the mode isn't set to Off; select Heat, Cool, or Auto. Also, check if a remote system is overriding the thermostat.

Why is the aux heat on too often on my HAI Thermostat?
    • L
      Luis BryantAug 15, 2025
If the auxiliary heat on your HAI Thermostat is on too often, it could be due to the heat pump not being able to meet the load because of cold weather, or the thermostat might be in EM Heat mode. In EM Heat mode, only the auxiliary heat is turned on. Try setting the thermostat to Heat or Auto mode.

Why does my HAI Thermostat heat pump heat in cool mode and cool in heat mode?
    • L
      lwashingtonAug 20, 2025
If your HAI Thermostat's heat pump heats in cool mode and cools in heat mode, the wires connecting the reversing valve may be reversed. Move the wire from B to O or from O to B.
