Function Description
The Haier Cassette Type Air Conditioner is designed to provide cooling and heating for indoor spaces. It utilizes R32 refrigerant, a fluorinated greenhouse gas covered by the Kyoto Protocol, with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 675. The unit features various operating modes and controls via a remote controller to optimize comfort and energy efficiency.
Operating Modes:
- SMART Mode: Automatically switches between Cool, Heat, or Fan modes to maintain a set temperature. The fan speed adjusts automatically according to room temperature.
- COOL Mode: Operates in cooling mode. Fan speed adjusts automatically in AUTO setting.
- HEAT Mode: Provides warm air. Features a cold-air prevention function. Fan speed adjusts automatically in AUTO setting.
- DRY Mode: Reduces humidity. Operates intermittently at LOW speed when room temperature is higher than the set temperature + 2°F.
- FAN Mode: Circulates air without cooling or heating.
- SLEEP Mode: Adjusts temperature gradually over time to optimize comfort and efficiency during sleep. In COOL/DRY modes, temperature rises by 2°F after one hour, then another 2°F after a second hour, running for six hours total. In HEAT mode, temperature decreases by 4°F after one hour, then another 4°F after a second hour, then rises by 2°F after three hours, running for six hours total.
- HEALTH Airflow: Stirs the air in the room. Available for some models.
- ECO Mode: An energy-saving mode valid under all other modes.
- TURBO Function: Provides fast heating or cooling by switching the fan to SUPER high speed.
- QUIET Function: Reduces operating noise by switching the fan to BREEZE speed.
- FRESH Function: Activates an airflow function. Available for some models.
- HEATER Function: Can be set or canceled in HEAT mode. Not available for all units.
Remote Controller Features:
- ON/OFF Button: Powers the unit on or off.
- TEMP. +/- Buttons: Adjusts the set temperature within a range of 60°F-86°F (16°C-30°C).
- FAN SPEED Button: Cycles through LOW, MED, HI, and AUTO fan speeds.
- SWING Buttons (Vertical and Horizontal): Adjusts the direction of vertical and horizontal airflow louvers.
- Quadrant Control (Available for some models): Allows individual adjustment of vertical airflow on each side of the unit.
- TIMER ON/OFF: Sets the unit to turn on or off at a specified time.
- Clock Button: Sets the time on the remote controller.
- LIGHT Button: Turns the indoor unit display on and off.
- RESET Button: Resets the remote control if it malfunctions.
- LOCK Button: Locks buttons and LCD display.
- °C/°F Function: Toggles between Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature display, and activates Low Temperature Heating mode (10°C/50°F).
- iFP (Smart Focal Point) and Evade/Follow (Optional motion sensor part): Adjusts airflow to follow occupants or evade them when the iFP sensor is installed.
