disposed of in accordance with current legislaon and
regulaons in the country of use.
The step stool must not be disposed of with domesc
waste.
All components, incl. packaging, must be separated
appropriately.
Detailed informaon on this is available from your local

7. Service life
The step stool is a piece of equipment that can be used for a long
me if used as intended and maintained on a regular basis.
10. Checklist
Any damaged, defecve or non-funconal elements of the
step stool put the user at risk of a fall; there is also a risk
that the step stool could overturn during use.
Users of the step stool may incur serious injury from a fall.
Similarly, objects may be damaged if the step stool
overturns.
If the step stool is used for commercial purposes, a regular
check by a competent person is required (occupaonal
health and safety legislaon).
The contractor must ensure that step stools are checked on
a regular basis to ensure that they are in full working order
(visual inspecon and funcon test). The nature, scope and
dates of the necessary tests must be dened for this
purpose.
Tesng intervals depend on operang condions and in
parcular on the frequency of use, the stress imposed
during use and the frequency and severity of any defects
that have been idened in previous tests.
The contractor must also ensure that defecve step stools
are withdrawn from use and stored in such a way that they
can no longer be used unl they are duly repaired or
disposed of.
Consideraon must be given to points 1 to 5 during regular
inspecons of the step stool. If any of these points leads to an
unsasfactory test result, the step stool must NOT be used.

2. Legs, steps
