Its primary function is to provide reliable power on the go, ensuring users are prepared for unexpected power needs.

One of its core functions is jump-starting vehicles. The device comes with jumper cables that connect to a dedicated output port on the unit. Users attach the red clamp to the positive terminal and the black clamp to the negative terminal of the vehicle battery. A "Jump Start" button initiates the process, and a solid green light indicates that safety checks are complete and the device is ready to start the vehicle. The HALO BOLT ACDC MAX is engineered to operate within a safe temperature range, displaying a "TEMP" indicator if used outside this range. It's important to note that the jump start function cannot be used simultaneously with USB charging or the AC outlet. If a vehicle doesn't start after three attempts, consulting a certified mechanic is recommended. The device also includes safety precautions, such as not touching the red and black clamps together and ensuring proper connection to avoid issues like a "BATT TOO LOW" or "SAFETY CHECK FAIL" indicator.

Beyond jump-starting, the HALO BOLT ACDC MAX features an integrated air compressor. This allows users to inflate vehicle tires, bicycle tires, and other inflatables using the included interchangeable nozzle kit, 24-inch extension hose, and 10ft air compressor cord. To use the compressor, one end of the DC to DC cable plugs into the BOLT ACDC MAX DC output port, and the other end connects to the air compressor's DC input port. The air hose then attaches to the valve stem of the item to be inflated. The digital display shows the current pressure in KPA, BAR, or PSI, and a "TEMP" indicator will appear if the compressor detects a high temperature. An "Overload" indicator signals abnormal input voltage. The air compressor can also be powered by plugging the 10 ft Air Compressor Cord into the unit and the car charger end into a vehicle's 12V output plug. Users are advised to check and follow the manufacturer's recommended pressure for the item being inflated and to use caution as the air hose and connectors may get hot during extended use.

The HALO BOLT ACDC MAX also serves as a portable charging hub for electronic devices. It features USB 5V/2.4A output ports for charging smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered gadgets. The device incorporates "HALO SMART CHARGE TECHNOLOGY," which optimizes charging speed and safety by allowing the BOLT ACDC MAX to communicate with the electronic device. To charge, a standard USB cable connects from the electronic device to one of the USB output ports on the HALO unit. The digital display indicates when the device is being charged. Additionally, it includes an AC outlet, enabling users to power laptops or other electronic devices that require an AC power plug, as long as they are rated at 70 watts or less. Users can cycle through these modes by pressing the floodlight ON/OFF button. The floodlight automatically turns off after 2 hours of inactivity, conserving battery life.

The digital display provides crucial information, including vehicle battery voltage, charge percentage of the BOLT ACDC MAX, and indicators for low battery, temperature warnings, and safety checks. This allows users to monitor the device's status and troubleshoot potential issues. For instance, if the jump start button is pressed but nothing happens, the display might show "BATT TOO LOW," indicating the unit needs recharging. The manual advises recharging the unit when the battery is low. Regular charging of the HALO BOLT ACDC MAX is essential, and the charging process is straightforward: plug the included USB-C cable into the corresponding port on the unit and connect the other end to the 10W USB Charger plugged into an outlet. The digital display shows the charge percentage, reaching 100% when fully charged (which can take up to 6 hours).

For general maintenance, users are instructed to keep the device dry and away from moisture and corrosive materials, avoiding exposure to water, rain, or snow. It should also be kept away from heat sources. Cleaning the unit with a soft cloth and avoiding harsh chemicals, soaps, or detergents is recommended. To prevent contamination, users should periodically use canned air to clear lint or debris from charging ports. When charging the internal battery, it's important to do so in a well-ventilated area without restricting ventilation.
