System setup
Connect communication cable via RS-232 interface or control module
4 Connect breathing circuits
4.1 Connect short inspiratory tube (blue) to
ventilator
4.2 Connect expiratory tube (white) to
ventilator
4.3 Insert water feed spike into water source
4.4 Install water source at a minimum of
50 cm above humidifier
4.5 Connect Y-piece to flow sensor and flex
tube
1 Connect power cord 2 Attach humidifier base 3 Insert water chamber
1.1 Optional - Communication cable to compatible ventilator
Initial setting: Auto or Manual mode?
Depending on your patient’s condition and the ambient temperature, choose
Manual mode if Auto mode causes too much condensation.
1 Start with lower humidity settings
Lowest chamber exit temperature (slider left)
Highest Y-piece gradient (slider left)
Active Expiratory tube button
2 Optimum: No condensate after two hours
Increase chamber exit temperature one degree at a time
Stop as soon as the circuits, flex tube, or flow sensor start to fog up
3 Save settings
