High-priority alarms and technical faults
Indicated by an audible, repeating alarm sound and a flashing visual red alarm indicator
Medium-priority alarms
Indicated by an audible, repeating alarm sound and a flashing visual yellow alarm indicator
High temperature alarm
Check whether circuits are
covered by blankets or exposed
to sunlight
Check if air flow is present
Replace the breathing circuit
Empty water chamber
Replace water chamber
Check mounting of humidifier
Dangerous angle of
incline
Water level high alarm
Check humidifier mounting, IV
pole, or ventilator trolley
Operate humidifier at
an angle < 10° relative to the
floor
Low temperature alarm
Wait until system heats up
completely (up to 30 min)
Check settings, reduce
temperature gradient if room is
cool
Avoid flow of AC on the device
Remove water or residues from
temperature probe
Check water reservoir and refill
tubing
Refill empty water chamber
Check mounting of humidifier
Tubes are not inserted
correctly
Water level low alarm
Insert or reseat breathing circuits
correctly
