If your HAMPTON BAY Fan won't start, begin by checking the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers. Also, inspect the line wire connections to the fan and the switch wire connections within the switch housing.

Why is my HAMPTON BAY HAVANA so noisy?
    • C
      Christopher ClarkAug 6, 2025
If your HAMPTON BAY Fan is noisy, there are several things you can check: * Make sure all motor housing screws are snug. * Ensure the screws attaching the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are tight. * Verify that wire nut connections aren't rattling against each other or the switch housing's interior. * If you're using a light kit, tighten the screws securing the glassware and check the bulbs are secure. * Confirm the canopy has a small gap from the ceiling and isn't touching it. * Check that your outlet box is secure and rubber isolator pads were used between the mounting plate and outlet box. Also, allow the fan a 24-hour “breaking in” period, as most new fan noises disappear during this time.

How to fix a HAMPTON BAY HAVANA that wobbles?
    • E
      Eric WillisAug 16, 2025
To address a wobble in your HAMPTON BAY Fan, start by checking that all blade and blade arm screws are secure. Most wobble issues arise from unequal blade levels. To check this, measure from a point on the ceiling to a point on the center of each blade; deviations should be within 1/8". Run the fan for ten minutes. If the wobble persists, use the provided blade balancing kit.
