WARNING: Risk of accident
Do not touch the appliance, the power cord or the plug with wet hands or wet
parts of your body� Never immerse the appliance, the power cord or the plug in
water or any other liquid – risk of electric shock�
WARNING: Risk of explosive gas
Working with lead-acid batteries can result in the risk of personal injury and/or
material damage� Batteries emit explosive gas during normal use�
Follow these instructions, the battery manufacturer’s instructions, and the
instructions for other equipment used in the vicinity of the battery to reduce the
risk of the battery exploding� Pay attention to the warnings on these products and
on the engine�
• When used in an enclosed area the appliance must be placed at least 50 cm
above oor level to avoid the risk of re�
• Do not allow children to use the appliance� The appliance must only be used by
adults who have read these instructions�
WARNING: Fire risk
• Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of ammable liquids or gases� Do not
expose the appliance to heat or naked ames�
Do not use the battery charger with the vehicle’s 12 V socket if the fuse trips
repeatedly when connecting the battery charger�
– Do not repeatedly change the fuse�
– Do not replace the fuse with a fuse with a higher amperage and never
attempt to replace the fuse with foil, metal wire, or the like� This can cause
serious, or fatal personal injury, re, electric shock and/or material damage�
• Never attempt to charge a frozen battery�
• Never charge the battery when the engine is running�
• Watch out for fan blades, belts, pulleys and other parts that could cause
personal injury�
• The vehicle’s computer system can be damaged by using an auxiliary starter�
Check the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer to see whether it is possible
to use an auxiliary starter�
• Do not work with lead-acid batteries on your own�
