INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Note: Please read and follow these instructions before using your unit.
1. Read these instructions. Keep these instructions. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions.
2. Do not use this apparatus near water.
3. Clean only with dry cloth.
4. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
6. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A
grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the
provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
7. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from
the apparatus.
8. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
9. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus.
When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
10. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
11. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in
any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the
apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
12. Grounding or Polarization This product may be equipped with a polarized alternating-current line plug (a plug having one blade wider
than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the
outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the
safety purpose of the polarized plug.
13. Alternate Warnings – This product is equipped with a three-wire ground-type plug, a plug having a third (grounding) pin. This plug will only
into a grounding-type power outlet. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact your electrician to
replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the grounding-type plug.
14. Ventilation – Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it
from overheating, and these openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on
a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless
proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer’s instructions have been adhered to.
15. The MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
16. : CLASS II apparatus with double insulation, and no protective earth provided.

18. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
19. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on
apparatus.
20. The mains plug is used as disconnect device. The mains plug of apparatus should not be obstructed OR should be easily accessed
during intended use. To be completely disconnect the power input, the mains plug or apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains.
21. Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
22. Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphone can cause hearing loss.

Function Description:

Usage Features:

AC Operation: The unit can be powered by connecting the AC power cord to a standard AC outlet. Users are advised to ensure the voltage selector (if present) matches their local area.

Battery Operation: For portable use, the AC cord must be disconnected, and 6 UM-2 "C" size batteries should be inserted into the battery compartment, observing correct polarity.

Radio Operation:

  1. Slide the FUNCTION SWITCH to the RADIO position.
  2. Select the desired band (AM or FM) using the BAND SWITCH.
  3. Tune to a station using the TUNING CONTROL.
  4. Adjust volume with the VOLUME CONTROL. For FM reception, the antenna should be fully extended. For AM, the unit's built-in antenna means the entire unit may need to be rotated for optimal reception.

CD/MP3/USB Operation:

  1. Set the FUNCTION SWITCH to CD/USB.
  2. Press the CD/USB button to select either CD or USB mode (indicated on the LCD display).
  3. For CDs, insert the disc into the compartment. For USB, plug the device into the USB slot. The unit will read the tracks/files and display the total number.
  4. Press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback. Press again to pause, and again to resume.
  5. For MP3 discs or USB devices with folders, use the FOLDER UP button to navigate between folders.

Skip Mode:

  • SKIP UP: Advances to the next track. For MP3 files with folders, it moves to the first track of the next folder when the current folder ends.
  • SKIP DOWN: Returns to the beginning of the current track. Pressing it twice during playback goes to the previous track. For MP3 files with folders, it moves to the last track of the previous folder when at the beginning of the current folder.

Programming (Audio CD/MP3):

  1. In STOP mode, press the PROGRAM button. "P01" will flash on the LCD.
  2. Use SKIP UP or SKIP DOWN to select the desired track.
  3. Press PROGRAM again to store the track. "P02" will flash.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 to store up to 20 tracks.
  5. Press PLAY/PAUSE to play the programmed sequence.
  6. Press STOP to end playback.
  7. To cancel the program list, press STOP and open the CD compartment, or select OFF/AUX or RADIO function. For MP3s, programming works similarly, allowing selection of both folders/albums and tracks.

MP3/AUX IN Connection:

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player) to the unit's Aux-In Jack using a 3.5mm stereo plug (not included).
  2. Turn on the unit and set the FUNCTION SWITCH to OFF/AUX.
  3. Turn on the external MP3 player and initiate playback.
  4. To stop, simply turn off the external MP3 player.

Note on MP3 Playability: The manufacturer notes that playback quality and performance of MP3 files are not guaranteed due to non-standardized formats and recording conditions (PC performance, writing software, media ability, etc.).

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: The device should only be cleaned with a dry cloth.
  • Ventilation: Do not block ventilation openings. Ensure proper ventilation by not placing the unit on soft surfaces (bed, sofa, rug) or in enclosed spaces like bookcases without adequate airflow.
  • Power Cord Care: Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched. Avoid pulling on the cord when disconnecting from the wall outlet to prevent damage and electric shock.
  • Moisture Protection: Do not expose the apparatus to rain or moisture, dripping or splashing liquids. Do not place objects filled with liquids (e.g., vases) on the apparatus.
  • Heat Protection: Do not install near heat sources like radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat-producing apparatus. Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat (sunshine, fire).
