INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Note: Please read and follow these instructions before using your unit.
1. Read these instructions. Keep these instructions. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions.
2. Do not use this apparatus near water.
3. Clean only with dry cloth.
4. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
6. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A
grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the
provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
7. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from
the apparatus.
8. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
9. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus.
When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
10. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
11. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in
any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the
apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
12. Grounding or Polarization This product may be equipped with a polarized alternating-current line plug (a plug having one blade wider
than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the
outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the
safety purpose of the polarized plug.
13. Alternate Warnings – This product is equipped with a three-wire ground-type plug, a plug having a third (grounding) pin. This plug will only
into a grounding-type power outlet. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact your electrician to
replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the grounding-type plug.
14. Ventilation – Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it
from overheating, and these openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on
a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless
proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer’s instructions have been adhered to.
15. The MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
16. : CLASS II apparatus with double insulation, and no protective earth provided.

18. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
19. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on
apparatus.
20. The mains plug is used as disconnect device. The mains plug of apparatus should not be obstructed OR should be easily accessed
during intended use. To be completely disconnect the power input, the mains plug or apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains.
21. Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
22. Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphone can cause hearing loss.

Overview

This document describes the Hannlomax CD/MP3 Boombox with Radio and USB, Model: HX-326CD. It's a portable audio device designed for playing CDs, MP3 files from USB, and receiving AM/FM radio broadcasts.

Function Description

The boombox features a CD compartment for playing audio CDs and MP3 discs. It also includes a USB slot for playing MP3 files directly from a USB device. For radio reception, it has an AM/FM tuner. An Aux-In jack allows connection of external audio sources like MP3 players. The device is equipped with built-in speakers for audio output and a handle for portability. An LCD display shows operational information.

Usage Features

Powering the Device: The boombox can be powered by AC current or batteries. For AC power, ensure the voltage selector (if present) is set to the local voltage, then unravel and insert the AC power cord into the AC socket on the unit and a standard AC outlet. For battery operation, disconnect the AC cord, open the battery compartment, and insert six UM-2 "C" size batteries, observing correct polarity.

Radio Operation:

  1. Slide the FUNCTION Switch to the RADIO position.
  2. Slide the BAND Switch to either AM or FM position.
  3. Turn the TUNING CONTROL to find your desired radio station.
  4. Adjust the sound level using the VOLUME Control. For FM reception, fully extend the antenna. For AM reception, the unit uses a built-in antenna, so simply turn the whole unit for best reception.

MP3/AUX IN Connection:

  1. Insert one end of a 3.5mm stereo audio cable (not supplied) into the line-out or headphones jack of your MP3 player, and the other end into the Aux-In jack on the boombox.
  2. Turn on the unit and slide the function selector to CD/USB/AUX position.
  3. Turn on your MP3 player and follow its playback instructions.
  4. To stop this function, simply turn off your MP3 player.

CD/MP3/USB Operation:

  • Playing Audio CDs:

    1. Set the FUNCTION Switch to CD/USB/AUX position.
    2. Press the CD/USB button to select CD mode (CD icon appears on LCD).
    3. Insert an audio CD into the CD compartment and close the door. The unit will read the disc and display the total number of tracks.
    4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE II button to start playing.
    5. During playback, press PLAY/PAUSE II to temporarily pause; press again to resume.
  • Playing MP3 Discs:

    1. Set the FUNCTION Switch to CD/USB/AUX position.
    2. Press the CD/USB button to select CD mode (CD icon appears on LCD).
    3. Insert an MP3 disc into the CD compartment and close the door. The unit will read the disc and display the total number of songs.
    4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE II button to start playing.
    5. Use the FOLDER UP button to select the desired folder.
    6. During playback, press PLAY/PAUSE II to temporarily pause; press again to resume.
  • Playing MP3 Files with USB:

    1. Set the FUNCTION Switch to CD/USB/AUX position.
    2. Press the CD/USB button to select USB mode (USB appears on LCD).
    3. Plug your USB device into the USB port. The unit will read the files and display the total number of tracks.
    4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE II button to start playing the MP3 files.
    5. Use the FOLDER UP button to select the desired folder.
    6. During playback, press PLAY/PAUSE II to temporarily pause; press again to resume.
  • Skip Mode (CD/MP3/USB):

    • During play or pause, press the SKIP UP button to go to the next track. For MP3 files with folders, pressing SKIP UP at the end of a folder moves to the first track of the next folder.
    • During play or pause, press the SKIP DOWN button to go back to the beginning of the track.
    • During play, pressing SKIP DOWN twice goes to the previous track. For MP3 files with folders, pressing SKIP DOWN at the beginning of a folder moves to the last track of the previous folder.
  • Different Play Modes (CD/MP3/USB): Press the MODE button to cycle through play modes:

    • For Audio CDs: Repeat (current track), Repeat All (all tracks), Random, Normal.
    • For MP3 Files: Repeat (current track), Repeat Album (current folder), Repeat All (all tracks), Random, Normal.
    • Repeat: Repeats the current track.
    • Repeat All: Repeats all tracks in the storage media.
    • Repeat Album: Repeats all tracks in the current album/folder.
    • Random: Plays all tracks in random order.
    • Normal: Plays tracks in sequence.
  • Programming (Audio CD/MP3): Programming should be done in STOP mode.

    1. Press the PROGRAM button (LCD shows P01 and flashes).
    2. Use SKIP UP or SKIP DOWN to select the desired track.
    3. Press PROGRAM again to store the track (LCD shows P02 and flashes).
    4. Repeat steps 2-3 to store up to 20 tracks.
    5. Press PLAY/PAUSE II to play the programmed order.
    6. Press STOP to stop playback.
    7. To cancel the program list, press STOP and open the CD compartment door or select a different function (OFF/AUX or RADIO). For MP3s, you can select folders/albums and tracks.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning: Clean the apparatus only with a dry cloth.
  • Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Install according to manufacturer's instructions. Ensure proper ventilation if placed in a built-in installation.
  • General Care:
    • Do not use near water.
