Risk of damage to property!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to damage to property.
The presence of any metal in the
cooking chamber can cause sparks
when you use the appliance in micro-
wave mode or combi mode! This can
destroy the appliance and the view-
ing pane! Do not use metal pots, met-
al pans and metal lids or cookware
with metal parts such as gold edges
under any circumstances.
When in grill, hot air, or combi mode,
do not use any porcelain, ceramic or
plastic containers or fi lm wrap that
cannot withstand high temperatures.
Do not use baking paper or similar!
Containers that become hotter than
the food inside them are not suitable
for microwave cooking. Do not use
such containers.
The appliance offers different types of heat-
ing: Microwave, grill, hot air and combi mode.
Always choose the appropriate dishware for
the different heating modes. Please also en-
sure to observe the manufacturers guide-
lines. Unsuitable crockery can lead to the
appliance becoming damaged.
For microwave mode
Use only microwave-safe dishware. This in-
cludes:
fire-resistant glass, ceramic, porcelain
fire and frost resistant glass ceramics
High heat resistant and microwaveable
plastic (e.g. oven bag)
In order to find out whether the dishware is
microwaveable, you can conduct the follow-
ing test:
1. Put the empty container in the cooking
chamber.
2. Press the “Stop/Delete” button (12) twice
if necessary to end any running operation.
3. Press the “+30s” control dial (11).
The appliance will then start and run at full
microwave power for 30 seconds.
If the dishware becomes hot or if sparks
start to form, immediately open the appli-
ance door to stop the cooking process:
This dishware is not suitable!
If the dishware remains cold or only be-
comes lukewarm, it may be used in mi-
crowave mode.
The grill pan (6) is not suitable for
microwave and combi modes

Grill, convection, and combi
mode
Any materials suitable for use in a conven-
tional oven are also compatible with these
heating modes.
Size and shape
Flat, wide containers are more suitable
than tall, narrow ones. “Flat” dishes can
cook through more evenly.
Round or oval shaped containers are more
suitable than square or rectangular con-
tainers. There is a risk of localised over-
heating in the corners!
