Speakers
The first three lines of the display detail the speaker settings. To change any of them, press the “Select” button to go to
the next menu, “System Setup”. (Figure #xx) An “Ö“ arrow will point to the “Speakers” menu, and an “>“ indicates that
there are additional menus for this topic. Press “Select” again, to go to the “Speakers” Menu. (Figure #xx)
The first step is to tell the 7.0 what kind of speakers are installed, and how many of each. With the “Ö“ arrow pointing
towards “Speaker Config”, press “Select” to go the next menu. (Figure #xx). Here, choose from which group of
speakers is to be configured.
Surround Speakers: This tells the system which type of surround speaker will be used, if any. Press “Select” to enter
the settings for “Surround Speaker”, and press “Select”. The “Surround Speaker” menu will appear. (Figure #xx). Use
the “Ï“ and “Г arrow keys to move the on screen “Ö“ pointer next to the type of speaker that will be used in your
system.
Select “DUAL DRIVE” if Citation 7.3, Fosgate*Audionics SD-180, Fosgate*Audionics SD-90 or other approved
Dual Drive Dipoles are used.
Select “THX DIPOLE” if standard THX certified dipole speakers are used.
Select “BACKS ONLY” if conventional point source speakers are used for surround, and if they are mounted
on the back wall of the listening room, behind the listeners.
Select “SIDES ONLY” if conventional point source loudspeakers are used for surround, and if they are
mounted on the side wall of the listening room, to the left and right of the listeners.
Select “BACKS AND SIDES” if conventional point source loudspeakers are placed on BOTH the rear of the
room and on the side walls.
Select “NONE” if surround speakers will not be used.
Once you have made your selection, and the “Ö“ pointer is next to the correct speaker type, press “Select” to confirm
your choice. Note that the on screen ““ cursor will move next to the arrow. Press “Exit” when this step is completed
and to return to the previous menu.
Subwoofers: This tells the system which how many subwoofers will be in use, if any. From the “System Setup -
Speaker Config” menu (figure #xx) , press the “Г button once, moving the on screen “Ö“ pointer next to
“Subwoofers”. Press “Select”. The “Subwoofers” menu will appear. (Figure #xx). Use the “Ï“ and “Ð" to move the on
screen “Ö“ pointer next to the description of the number of subwoofers that will be used in the installation.
Select “MONO” if one subwoofer will be used.
Select “STEREO” if two subwoofers will be used.
Select “NO SUBWOOFERS” if none will be installed.
Make certain that the selection follows the connections made to the output jacks on the rear panel.
Once the pointer is next to the proper choice, press “Select” to confirm the setting. This will move the on screen ““
cursor next to the arrow. Press “Exit/OK’ to enter the selection to memory and to return to the previous menu
