TROUBLESHOOTING
No audio and POWER INDICATOR is off.
• No voltage ai BATT+ an d/ or REM tem1i nal s, or bad or no
grou nd connecti on. Check voltag es at amp [ tt ier terminal s
with VOM .
No audio and PROTECT INDICATOR flashes every 4
seconds.

No audio and PROTECT and POWER INDICATORS flash.
• Vo ltage le ss than 9V on BATT - connection. Check vehicl e
charg i ng syste m.
No audio and PROTECT INDICATOR is on.
• Amp lifi er is overhe ated. Mak e su re ampl if ier oooling is not
blocked at mo unting location. Or , t here may be vo tt age
greater than 16V (or less than 8. 51/) on BATT+ connection.
Check veh i cle charging system.
Am pli fier fuse keeps blowing.
• T he wi ri ng is connected inoorre c tly or th ere is a s hore circu rr.

Distorted audio.
• Gain Is N ot Se t Prope rly. Check Se tting. Check Wires
For Shorts Or Gro unds. Amplifier Or Source U ni t May Be
De fective.
Distorted audio and PROTECT INDICATOR flashes.
• Short circuit in speaker or wi re . R emov e sp eaker le a ds one at
a ti me to locate shorted s peaker or wire, and re pai r.
M us ic lacks dyna mi cs or "punch".
• Speaker s are not oonne cted properly. Che ck sp eaker
oonn ections for proper po larit y.
En gi ne noi se-wh i ni ng or clicki ng - in system when the
engine is on.
• Amp lifi er is picki ng up alternator noi se . First, check ground
connection on the amplifier - a loose or improper ground is
one of the ma in cau se s for n oise . Tu m dov,n gai n. Mov e R CA
aud ·o cab! es away fr om power wi re s. Installing an alternator
noise fin er on power line between batteiy and alternator m'ght
al so be nec essary .
