#3 Installing into an existing chimney

maywanttoinstallalinerasinmethod#6.Checkwithyour
local regulations, some municipalities require a complete
liner.
Chimney must be of a type suitable for solid fuel
burning.
Chimney and connector must be maintained in good
condition and kept clean.

mineralwooloranequivalentnon-combustibleinsulationis
recommendedtobeinstalledontopofthesealingplateto
reducethepossibilityofcondensation.Theconnectorpipe
shouldextendthroughthesmokechambertothebaseorinto
therstuetile.Acapshouldbeinstalledonthechimneyto
keepoutrain.Ifthechimneyconditionisquestionableyou
maywanttoinstallalinerallthewaytothetopasinmethod
