To engage vehicle seat belt retractor:
5. Pull out the full length of the seat belt (unl you cannot
pull out any more slack). This locks the retractor.
6. Tighten vehicle seat belt by
placing your knee on the child
restraint base and use your
full weight to push the child
restraint down ❹ as you
simultaneously release the
extra seat belt length unl
seat belt is taught and has no
slack ❺.
7. The locked seat belt retractor
will not allow you to add any
length to the seat belt unl
you unbuckle the seat belt.
