WARNING:

isrunning.Thesawchainisverysharp;always
wearprotectivegloveswhenperformingmain-
tenancetothechaintoavoidpossibleserious
lacerations.
CAUTION:
Alwaysweargloveswhenhandlingthebarand
chain;thesecomponentsaresharpandmay
contain burrs.
Remove the battery pack beforeyou do any
workonthechainsaw.
Removethehexkeyfromthestorageareaand
useittoremovethechaincoverscrew,washer
andchaincoverfromthechainsaw.
Removethebarandchainfrommountingsurface.
Removetheoldchainfromthebar.
Lay out the new saw chain in a loop and
straightenanykinks.Thecuttersshouldfacein
thedirectionofchainrotation.Iftheyfacethe
oppositedirection,turntheloopover.
Placethechaindrivelinksintothebargroove.
Positionthechainsothereisaloopattheback
ofthebar.Holdthechaininpositiononthebar
andplacethelooparoundthesprocketofthe
chainsaw. Fitthebarflushagainstthemounting
surfacesothatthepostisinthelongslotofthe
bar.
Replacethechaincover.
WARNING:
When placing the chain cover onto the bar,
ensurethechaintensioningpinisinthechain
tensionpinhole.Failuretoproperlyplacethe
chaintensioning pin in thechain tension pin
holecouldcausethechaintocomeloose,re-
sultinginseriouspersonalinjury.
Replace thewasher and chain cover screw.
Tightenthechaincoverscrewfingertightonly.
Thebarmustbefreetomovefortensionadjust-
ment.
