MAINTENANCE

Useofanyotherpartscouldcreateahazardorcause

can result in a short circuit, increased risk of fire, and
seriouspersonalinjury.Removeanybuildupofdirtand
debris by wiping the product clean with a dry cloth oc-
casionally.

Periodically inspect the entire product for damaged,
missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps,
etc.Tightensecurelyallfastenersandcapsanddonot
operate this product until all missing or damaged parts
are replaced. Please contact customer service or an
authorizedservicecenterforassistance.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoidusing solventswhen cleaning plastic parts. Most
plasticsaresusceptibletodamagefromvarioustypesof
commercialsolventsandmaybedamagedbytheiruse.Use
cleanclothstoremovedirt,dust,oil,grease,etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petro-
leum-basedproducts,penetratingoils,etc.,comeincon-
tactwithplasticparts.Chemicalscandamage,weakenor
destroyplasticwhichcanresultinseriouspersonalinjury.
CLEANING THE POWER HEAD
Stopthemotorandremovethebatterypack.
Clean dirt and debris from the power head using a damp
clothwithamilddetergent.
NOTICE:
Do not use any strong detergents on the plastic housing
orthehandle.Theycanbedamagedbycertainaromatic
oilssuchaspineandlemon,andbysolventssuchas
kerosene.
STORING THE POWER HEAD
Removethebatterypackfromthepowerheadbefore
storing.
Cleanallforeignmaterialfromthepowerhead.
Storeitinaplacethatisinaccessibletochildren.
Keepawayfromcorrosiveagentssuchasgardenchem-
icalsandde-icingsalts.
