ASSEMBLY
WARNING:
Neverinstall,remove,oradjust any attachment while
powerheadisrunning.Failureto stop the motor can
causeseriouspersonalinjury.Neveroperatepowerhead
withoutanattachment.
This 40 V power head may be used with only the following
attachment:
 HLST02LBStraightShaftTrimmerAttachment
 PFAXA22AxialBlowerAttachment
 PFEDG12EdgerAttachment
 PFPRN33PrunerAttachment
 PFTIL66CultivatorAttachment
The attachment connects to the power head by means of
acouplerdevice.
 Stopthemotorandremovethebatterypack.
 Loosentheknobonthecouplerofthepowerheadshaft
andremovetheendcapfromtheattachment.
 Pushinthebuttonlocatedontheattachmentshaft.Align
the button with the guide recess on the power head
couplerandslidethetwoshaftstogether.Rotatetheat-
tachment shaft until the button locks into the positioning
hole.
NOTE: If the button does not release completely in the
positioninghole,theshafts arenotlockedintoplace.
Slightly rotate from side to side until the button is locked
intoplace.
 Tightentheknobsecurely.
WARNING:
Be certain the knob is fully tightened before operating
equipment; check it periodically for tightness during use
toavoidseriouspersonalinjury.
REMOVING THE ATTACHMENT FROM THE
POWER HEAD
Stopthemotorandremovethebatterypack.
Loosentheknob.
Pushinthebuttonandtwisttheshaftstoremoveand
separateends.
ATTACHING THE FRONT HANDLE
See Figure 3.
Loosenand remove the knob and washer from the
handle.
Install the handle on the power head shaft in the area
indicatedbytheillustration.
Adjusthandleupordown,ifnecessary,todesiredop-
eratingposition.
Reinstallthewasherandknob.Tightenknobtosecure.

Operator’sManual.Failuretodosocouldresultinob-
jects being thrown into your eyes and other possible
seriousinjuries.
