Slide the rubber sleeve ⑤ in the direction of the female contact ④
until it comes to a hold. Then, place the contact and the rubber
sleeve in the carrier hood ①, making sure that the mark displaying
the crimp cross-section is turned to the top (⇨ black frame).

Put the shell ② over the rubber sleeve ⑤ and press it down against
the carrier hood ① . A narrow gap between both parts will show up
in the front part of the hood.

Push the forehead of the shell ② in the direction of the arrows to
eliminate the narrow gap and bring it to the final position.

Screw the cable gland ➂ using the Han
®
S wrench adapter AF 23
and the appropriate wrench tool, applying a tightening torque of
2.5 N m. In order not to overstress the hood, depending on the
cable construction a gap no wider than 1.5 mm might remain.
