  If your Hatz Engine isn't starting right away but is turning, there could be several reasons. First, make sure the speed control lever isn't in the 'STOP' position; try setting it to the 1/2 start or max START position and ensure it stays fixed there. Also, check if there's fuel reaching the injection pump. If not, refuel, activate the manual lever or fuel pump, and systematically inspect the entire fuel supply, including the feed line, fuel prefilter, and main fuel filter. After the extended period of disuse, activate the feed pump for a lengthy period. Finally, ensure the fuel system is correctly sized. If the injection nozzle is not functional, contact Hatz service.

  If your Hatz Engine is losing power and speed, first ensure the speed adjustment lever stays in place by blocking it. Check the fuel supply: add fuel if needed, change the fuel filter, make sure the tank is properly vented, and inspect the line screw connections for leaks.

  If your Hatz Engine won't start in cold weather, the fuel might be gelled; check if the fuel from the feed line is clear. If gelled, thaw the engine or drain the fuel system and refill with temperature-resistant fuel. Also, thick oil can slow the starter; change the engine oil and filter, using a suitable viscosity. Check the battery charge and contact service if needed. If possible, uncouple the engine from the machine. For a faulty pre glow system, contact HATZ Service.
