CAUTION
Protect the ignition lock against dirt and moisture.
▪ With the starting key pulled out, seal the ignition lock with
the protective cap.
Methods of switching off the engine
The engine can be switched off in different ways depending on how it is
equipped:
▪ Speed control lever (mechanical)
▪ Starting key (electrical)

Step Activity
1 Move the speed controller lever to the "STOP" position.
The engine switches off.
2 Additional step for engines with a starter:
▪ Turn the starting key to position "0".
All indicator lamps go out.

Engines with an automatic switch-off can also be switched off by
turning the starting key back to position "0".
