grINDINg
During the rst ten hours of work, run the
engine at a moderate RPM. It is advised that
in any case, do not use engine at high speed
as the different components must adjust with
others during a “grinding period”. It is at the
end of the “grinding period” that the engine
will reach its maximum power. After the
rst two hours of work, turn machine off and
check that all nuts and screws are securely
fastened. Tighten if necessary.
Use only original manufacturer’s replacement
parts, accessories and attachments. Failure to
do so can cause poor performance, possible
injury and may void your warranty. You can of
-
ten make adjustments and repairs described
here. For other repairs, have the trimmer
serviced by an authorized service dealer.
Gearbox

grease the gearbox:
Use special gear box grease that is resistant
to high temperature.
1. Locate the grease nipple at the bottom
of the shaft.
2. Using a grease gun, connect the grease
gun hose to the nipple on the shaft.
3. Grease the gear box.
