HOW TO REMOVE THE DRIVE BELT
WARNING: Before you remove
the belt, disconnect the wire
from the spark plug.
1. Remove the belt cover (Figure 12).

2. Disconnect the idler spring (Figure 13).

3. Remove the drive belt from the drive
pulley (Figure 14).

4. Pull the drive belt under the mower hous-
ing. (Figure 15).
5. Remove the drive belt.

NOTE: Make sure you replace the drive belt
only with a replacement belt from the
factory.
6. To assemble the drive belt, reverse the
above steps.
