Why won't my Hayter Lawn Mower engine start?
- JJustin HurleyAug 18, 2025
Your Hayter Lawn Mower engine might not start due to several reasons. It could be that the engine is under load, in which case you should raise the height of cut. Another reason may be incorrect or contaminated fuel, so drain the tank and fill it with the correct fuel. Check if the spark plug lead is disconnected and connect it. Ensure that the engine brake is released by operating the engine brake lever. A faulty spark plug can also be the reason, so clean and adjust the gap or replace it. Finally, check the wiring for any faults.
