Why is my Hayward Inverter not producing enough chlorine?
    • S
      Shane JonesAug 20, 2025
Several factors can cause low chlorine levels. The DAILY CHLORINE OUTPUT setting may be too low, requiring adjustment. Low stabilizer (Cyanuric Acid) levels necessitate adding stabilizer to the pool. Insufficient filter pump run time, particularly for larger pools, should be increased. High salt levels need to be lowered. Very warm water increases chlorine demand, so increase Output % or filter run time. Other causes can be excessive scaling on the cell, high nitrogen levels in the pool water, or recent use of “Yellow Out” or similar treatments. Also, cold water below 50ºF will cause the Inverter to stop generating, and water between 50ºF - 60ºF will reduce output.

What to do if the 'Inadequate Water Flow' LED is illuminated on my Hayward AQR100 Inverter?
    • E
      Elizabeth KnightAug 22, 2025
If the 'Inadequate Water Flow' LED is illuminated, it indicates a low flow or no flow condition. First, verify that the filter pump is running and that there are no obstructions or restrictions in the pool plumbing. Backwash the pool filter. If you have a variable speed pump, increase its speed.

What should I do if my Hayward Inverter is showing a 'Low Salt' error?
    • T
      Tanner RobertsAug 25, 2025
If your Hayward Inverter displays a 'Low Salt' error, check the salt level in the pool and ensure it's greater than 1500 ppm but less than 4500 ppm. Inspect the Cell for dirt and follow the Cell cleaning procedure if necessary. Also, inspect the Cell Vessel to verify the Cell plates are fully covered by moving water. You can also remove power to the AQR100 for two minutes and then re-apply.

What does it mean when the 'PROBLEM DETECTED' LED is illuminated and the 'MIN' LED is blinking on my Hayward Inverter?
    • B
      Billy EwingAug 26, 2025
When the 'PROBLEM DETECTED' LED is illuminated and the 'MIN' LED is blinking, the salt level may be too low. Adjust the salt to the recommended levels. Also, remove and inspect the Cell for scale.
