How to fix a Healthrider H70t Treadmill that won't turn on?

  If your Healthrider Treadmill isn't turning on, ensure the power cord is correctly plugged into a surge suppressor, and the surge suppressor is connected to a properly grounded outlet. Also, verify that the key is fully inserted into the console. If the treadmill is connected to an AFCI-equipped outlet and your circuit breaker trips repeatedly when the treadmill is used, see the front cover of this manual to purchase an arc filter. Finally, check the power switch; if it's tripped, wait five minutes before pressing it back in to reset.

How to adjust a Healthrider Treadmill walking belt that is off-center or slipping?

  If the walking belt on your Healthrider Treadmill is off-center or slips, remove the key and unplug the power cord first. To center the belt, if it has shifted left, turn the left idler roller screw clockwise 1/2 turn. If it has shifted right, turn the left idler roller screw counterclockwise 1/2 turn. If the walking belt slips, turn both idler roller screws clockwise 1/4 of a turn. Ensure you don't overtighten the belt. You should be able to lift each edge 2 to 3 inches off the platform when it's correctly tightened. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and walk on the treadmill for a few minutes to test. Repeat these adjustments until the belt is centered and doesn't slip.

How to recalibrate the incline on a Healthrider H70t Treadmill?

  If the incline on your Healthrider Treadmill isn't changing correctly, recalibrate the incline system. Hold down the Stop button and the Speed increase button, insert the key into the console, and then release the Stop button and the Speed increase button. Next, press the Stop button, and then press the Incline increase or decrease button. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level. If the incline system does not begin calibrating, press the Stop button again, and then press the Incline increase or decrease button again. When the incline system is calibrated, remove the key from the console.

  If your Healthrider Treadmill shuts off during use, first check the power switch and reset it if it has tripped by waiting five minutes and then pressing it back in. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; if it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, and plug it back in. Also, try removing and reinserting the key from the console. If the treadmill still won’t run, please see the front cover of this manual.

Why does the walking belt on my Healthrider Treadmill slow down when I walk on it?

  If the walking belt on your Healthrider Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, it might be overtightened. Remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the hex key to turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. When properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and walk on the treadmill to test. If the walking belt still slows when walked on, see the front cover of this manual. Important: Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform unless instructed to do so by an authorized service representative.

  If the console displays on your Healthrider Treadmill stay lit after removing the key, the demo mode is likely activated. To disable it, press and hold the Stop button for a few seconds. If the displays are still lit, see THE INFORMATION MODE on page 21 to turn off the demo mode.
