What to do if my Heat Siphon Heat Pump is leaking water?
    • C
      Christopher RodriguezAug 9, 2025
First, determine if the leaking water is normal condensation. Condensation occurs as the unit cools off warm, humid air. To resolve this, turn off your Heat Siphon, keep your pool pump on, and wait until the basepan empties. If the basepan doesn't empty but the leaking stops, it's still condensation, but your drain is blocked. Unclog the barb drain fitting and/or replace the vinyl drain tubing. Test the leaking water for chlorine. If it tests negative, it's condensation. If the water has chlorine and the leak continues, contact your dealer.

Why my Heat Siphon Z375HP Heat Pump does nothing?
    • J
      Janice BallAug 17, 2025
Several factors could cause this. The air temperature might be too cold; if it's below approximately 42°F, the unit will shut off automatically to prevent icing. Wait for the air temperature to reach 45°F to 48°F for the unit to automatically reset and turn on. Alternatively, a brief power interruption might have activated a time delay. Wait 5 minutes for the unit to restart. Also, check if the breaker is tripped, which could indicate a bad breaker, faulty wiring, loose wires, or a poor connection in the junction box. Have your installer check the wiring and breaker.

What to do if my Heat Siphon Z375HP tries to start then does nothing?
    • S
      Sarah Anderson DVMAug 25, 2025
This issue can arise from a few causes. A brief power interruption might have activated the time delay. In that case, wait 5 minutes for the unit to restart. If the air temperature is below 45°F to 48°F and the pool water is cold, wait for both to reach 50°F for the unit to restart automatically and resume normal heating. Also, ensure the pool filter is clean and the pool water flow is stable; restore the correct water flow if needed.

How to troubleshoot a Heat Siphon Z375HP Heat Pump that runs but doesn't heat?
    • M
      Meagan HickmanSep 1, 2025
Several factors could be at play. Check if the air leaving the unit is colder than usual. Also, ensure the pool pump is running long enough each day; run it continuously for 24 hours to determine the required time. If it's still not heating, contact your dealer. Consider whether there's abnormally high heat loss, such as no cover on an extremely windy day. Cover the pool and run the pool pump for 24 hours. If it's still not heating, contact your dealer.
