How to fix Heath Zenith SL-5408 lights that will not come on?
    • D
      dylanliJul 26, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Home Automation lights are not turning on, there could be several reasons. First, ensure that the light switch is turned on. Check if the flood light is loose or burned out, and secure or replace it if needed. Also, verify that the fuse hasn't blown or the circuit breaker hasn't been tripped; replace the fuse or reset the breaker. If it's daytime, the daylight turn-off feature might be active, so check again after dark. For new installations, verify the circuit wiring is correct. Finally, try re-aiming the sensor to cover the desired area.

Why do my Heath Zenith SL-5408 Home Automation lights come on for no reason?
    • C
      Carrie SerranoJul 31, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Home Automation lights are activating unexpectedly, it might be due to the sensor detecting small animals or automobile traffic. Try re-aiming the sensor. Alternatively, the sensitivity setting might be too high; try reducing the sensitivity.

What to do if Heath Zenith SL-5408 lights stay on continuously?
    • M
      Michael RoachAug 6, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Home Automation lights are staying on continuously, check the lamp positioning. If a flood lamp is too close to the sensor or pointed at heat-generating objects, reposition it. Similarly, if the Light Control is near a heat source like an air vent, dryer vent, or heat-reflective surface, reposition the sensor. Also, ensure that the Light Control is not in Manual Mode, switch to Auto.

Why are my Heath Zenith SL-5408 lights flashing on and off?
    • M
      Michael MorrisAug 13, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Home Automation lights are flashing on and off, it could be due to several factors. The heat or light from the lamps might be turning the Light Control on and off, so try repositioning the lamps away from the sensor. Reflected heat from other objects may also affect the sensor; reposition the sensor to avoid this. If the Light Control is in Test mode, flashing is normal during warm-up. Lastly, light leaking through the floodlamp reflectors can cause this issue, so replace the lamps with new, high-quality PAR 38 lamps.

Why do my Heath Zenith Home Automation lights turn on during the day?
    • S
      Sean HernandezSep 12, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Home Automation lights are activating during daylight hours, the Light Control might be installed in a relatively dark location; relocate it to a brighter area. Also, check if the Light Control is in Test mode; if so, set the control switch to an ON-TIME position.
