ANTENNA
TYPES
Long-Wire
-
This
antenna
will
provide
goodre-
ception
on
the
long-wave
and
standard
broadcast
bands,
and
fair
reception
on
the
short-wave
bands,
Dipole
-
This
is
a
directional
antenna
designed
for
short-wave
reception,
The
directional
fea-
ture
means
that
signals
are
received
best
when
the
antenna
is
turned
broadside
to
the
trans-
mitting
station
(when
the
ends
of
the
antenna
do
not
point
toward
the
transmitting
station),
Inverted-V
Dipole
-
This
is
a
non-directional
antenna
designed
for
short-wave
reception,
The
non-directional
feature
means
that
this
antenna
will
receive
signals
equally
well
from
all
direc-
tions,
Therefore,
it
is
often
possible
to
receive
more
stations
with
this
antenna
than
you
would
with
the
straight
dipole
antenna,
