Remove
the
meter
from
its
carton
and
locate
the
meter
hardware
in
the
same
carton.
Mount
the
meter
at
AE;
use
the
meter
hardware
as
shown
in
Detail
4C.
NOTE:
Do
not
overtighten
the
meter
nuts,
as
the
meter
case
can
be
broken.
Make
sure
the
meter
top
is
parallel
with
the
top
of
the
panel.
The
shorting
wire
will
be
removed
later.

switch

a

uF
disc
capacitor
between
the
positive
(+)
lug
(NS)
and
the
negative
(unmarked)
lug
(NS)
of
meter
AE.
NOTE:
Where
a
wire
passes
through
a
connection
and
then
goes
to
another
point,
as
in
the
next
step,
it
will
count
as
two
wires
in
the
solder
instructions
(S-2),
one
entering
and
one
leaving
the
connection.

Locate
the
bare
lead
saved
from
the
circuit
board
assembly
and
connect
it
from
lug
5
(S-1)
to
lug
2
(S-1)
of
switch
AC.

Cut
4"
from
one
end
of
the
cable.
Carefully
cut
about
1/2"
of
the
outer
insulation
from
the
wires
in
the
4”
length.
With
a
pair
of
long-nose
pliers
pull
the
wires
out
of
the
outer
insulation.
Save
a
1”
piece
of
the
outer
insulation
to
use
later.

Prepare
the
4’
red,
white
and
black
wires
by
removing
1/4”
of
insulation
from
both
ends
of
each
wire.
Then
twist
the
wire
ends
tightly
and
apply
a
small
amount
of
solder
to
each
end
to
hold
the
smaii
strands
together.
