CAUTION! A
Do not touch the rotating blade.
• Start the motor carefully according to instructions and with body parts, especially feet well
away from the blade.
• Do not tilt the lawn mower when starting the motor. Start the mower on a level surface, free
of high grass or obstacles. Keep hands and feet away from the rotating parts. Do not start
the motor when standing in front of the discharge opening. During operation, always hold
the handle and switch handle firmly with both hands.
Note: I
During operation, when the switch handle is released, the motor will stop and thus
stopping the lawnmower from operating.
C Start mowing as close as possible to the power socket (fig. 18). Always keep
the extension lead on the section of lawn than has already been mown. Never run
over the extension lead with the lawn mower.
BRAKE HANDLE
CAUTION! A
In order to avoid any unintentional start-ups of the lawn mower, it comes equipped
with an motor brake which must be pulled back before the motor can be started.
When the motor control lever is released it must return to its initial position, at
which point the motor automatically switches off.
• The brake is a basic safety component of a mower. Use the lever to stop the motor and
blade rotation. When you release the lever the motor and the blade stop automatically.
• Before you start to mow, check the start/stop lever several times to be sure that it is working
properly.
• Check that the brake cord can be smoothly operated. If the cord is kinked or damaged, it
should be replaced.
• The run-down time depends on the state and wear of the brake. If the brake lever does not
operate properly, contact an authorized service center.
C During operation, always hold the handle and brake control handle firmly with
both hands. During operation, when the stop control handle is released, the motor
will stop and thus stopping the lawnmower from operating.
