Workpiece touch probes from HEIDENHAIN
help you to reduce costs in the workshop
and in series production: Together with the
TNC 640, touch probes can automatically
perform setup, measuring and inspection
functions.
The stylus of a TS touch trigger probe is
defl ected upon contact with a workpiece
surface. At that moment the TS generates
a trigger signal that, depending on the
model, is transmitted either by cable or
over an infrared beam to the control.
The touch probe* is inserted directly into
the machine tool spindle. It can be
equipped with various shanks depending
on the machine. The ruby ball tips are
available in several diameters, and the styli
in different lengths.
* The touch probes must be interfaced to the TNC 640
by the machine tool builder.
