Single-hole mounting
1. Mark the position of the hole on the ceiling and drill the hole.
2. Put the wall plug into the hole.
3. Remove the protective film from the adhesive pad*.
4. Screw the base to the ceiling, then press the base to the ceiling and tighten the screw.
5. Put the detector onto the base.
(The test button of the smoke detector has to be flush with the oblong hole in the base)
6. Turn the detector clockwise until the base sinks into the smoke detector and snaps into
place at the end (rotation approx. 45°). After insertion of the detector into the base, it
automatically starts operation and carries out a function test.
* The adhesive pad is exclusively intended for anti-rotation protection when inserting/removing the smoke
detector. For adhesive installation, the adhesive pad for smoke detectors Genius H
®
and Genius Hx
®
has to be
ordered separately ( see item 17 Ordering data ).
