In figure A you will find an overview image of the application tool.
1 Nose piece
2 Tension lock screw
3 Thumb lever
4 Tension force scale

6 Using the application tool
CAUTION
There is a risk of injury when pulling the trigger and tightening the cable tie, or when using unsuitable
cable ties.
f Always use safety glasses during work.
f When pressing the hand lever, make sure that no limbs are between the hand lever and handle.
f When working above head level, attach a safety cord to the hanging loop at the bottom of the handle.
f Use only HellermannTyton nylon cable ties made from plastic.
f If necessary, attach a spiral cord to the hanging loop 6 (Figure A ).
f Set the desired tension force (see section “Tension force“).
f Apply the cable tie
1 (Figure B ) around the cable bundle.
f Pull the end of the strap
2 through the head 3 of the cable tie.
f Tighten the cable tie by hand so that the cable tie rests tightly against the cable bundle.
f Push the open side of the nose piece
1 (Figure A ) over the strap.
f Place the front of the nose piece at a right angle and flush to the head of the cable tie.
f Keep pulling the trigger
7 until the cable tie tensions and cuts.
