Why won't my HIKOKI Nail Gun power on or stay on?
    • D
      Danielle MartinAug 16, 2025
If your HIKOKI Nail Gun's power switch doesn't turn on, or turns on and then off automatically, it could be due to several reasons: a low battery, in which case you should charge it; damaged internal electronics, so you should contact HiKOKI for replacement; the push lever and/or trigger being in the ON state, so ensure they are in the OFF state; or the auto-power off function activating after 30 minutes of inactivity, so push and hold the power switch for more than 1 second to switch it on.

What to do if my HIKOKI NT 1865 DBAL Nail Gun operates but doesn't drive nails?
    • G
      Gary GuerreroAug 19, 2025
If your HIKOKI Nail Gun operates but doesn't drive nails, several factors could be at play. First, the magazine might be dirty, so blow and wipe it clean. Second, there might be a jam, so clear it. Other potential issues include worn or damaged driver blade, weakened or damaged ribbon spring, damaged nail feeder, improper nails, incorrect position of nailing depth adjustment adjuster, worn driver blade, or low compressed air pressure. For worn or damaged parts, or low compressed air pressure, contact HiKOKI for replacement. For ribbon spring or nail feeder problems, consider replacing the ribbon spring or nail feeder. Use only recommended nails. Readjust the nailing depth adjustment adjuster.

Why is my HIKOKI NT 1865 DBAL Nail Gun not working even when it's turned on?
    • S
      Samantha BrownAug 22, 2025
If your HIKOKI Nail Gun doesn't operate even when the power switch is ON, it could be due to several reasons. Ensure the nailer is firmly pressed against the workpiece and that you are pulling the trigger firmly. Also, make sure that less than 2 seconds pass between push lever ON and trigger ON (or between trigger ON and push lever ON). If these aren't the problem, reload the nails into the magazine, or set the switch lock lever to the OFF position. If the machine is too cold (below -5°C) or too hot, allow the nailer to cool or warm-up throughly in adequate condition. If none of these steps work, the internal electronics may be damaged, and you should contact HiKOKI for replacement.

Why is the charge indicator lamp blinking red and the battery charging doesn’t begin on my HIKOKI Nail Gun?
    • V
      Vincent HarrisAug 26, 2025
If the charge indicator lamp on your HIKOKI Nail Gun battery charger blinks red and charging doesn't start, it may be because the battery is not fully inserted. Make sure to insert the battery firmly. Another reason could be that the battery is overheated. If left alone, the battery will automatically begin charging if its temperature decreases, but this may reduce battery life. It is recommended that the battery be cooled in a well-ventilated location away from direct sunlight before charging it.

Why is the charge indicator lamp rapidly flickering purple, and battery charging doesn’t begin on my HIKOKI NT 1865 DBAL?
    • Z
      zacharymartinezAug 28, 2025
If the charge indicator lamp is rapidly flickering purple, and battery charging doesn’t begin on your HIKOKI Nail Gun, it could be due to the battery not being fully inserted. Ensure the battery is inserted firmly. Alternatively, there might be foreign matter in the battery terminal or where the battery is attached, so remove any foreign matter.

Why does the battery take a long time to charge on my HIKOKI NT 1865 DBAL?
    • S
      Sandra SimonAug 31, 2025
If your HIKOKI Nail Gun battery takes a long time to charge, the temperature of the battery, the charger, or the surrounding environment may be extremely low. Try charging the battery indoors or in another warmer environment. Also, the charger’s vents might be blocked, causing its internal components to overheat; avoid blocking the vents. If the cooling fan is not running, contact a HiKOKI Authorized Service Center for repairs.

      Anthony SilvaSep 3, 2025
If your HIKOKI Nail Gun battery usage time is short even though the battery is fully charged, it's likely that the battery's life is depleted. Replace the battery with a new one.
